Built circa 1907, this structure is an intact and detailed example of the American Foursquare style. Although the American Foursquare style was commonly employed int eh early 20th century, this structure was the only remaining example in the north of Wilshire neighborhood.
The house was restored when it was moved to 25th Street from its original location at 1140 7th Street. Features on this house that are typical of this style include the square/rectangular two -story mass, the hipped roof, the full-width front porch, the prevalence of double-hung wood sash windows, and the use of shingle and shiplap sidings. This house is designated as a Structure of Merit.
