A stop on the Conservancy’s 2017 Sacred Places tour, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church has been serving the Santa Monica community for 100 years. On September 23, the Westside Chamber Orchestra debuts with a program featuring Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, Beethoven’s Carolina Overture and Schoenberg’s Transfigured Night.

From the event organizer, “SMYO introduces a new, professional ensemble: The Westside Chamber Orchestra, led by conductor Brian Stone!

We have three premiere concerts this season, with introductory performances by members of the Santa Monica Youth Orchestra.

Our powerful first program on September 23rd presents three gripping, dramatic pieces from Vienna that each find their way from great angst to peaceful resolution – or not….”

The show starts at 7 p.m. and will last approximately three hours. Tickets are free with a $25 suggested donation.
