Historic Preservation at the Santa Monica Airport Site: A Participatory Discussion

We want the public’s opinions on historic preservation! The City of Santa Monica is honoring Measure LC, passed in 2014, to ensure the community was involved before making new developments on airport land. As part of this effort, the Santa Monica Conservancy is hosting a reflection on aviation history at the Santa Monica Airport, along with a discussion to understand what histories should be preserved as we consider the future of the site.

Responses during this event will be logged for consideration to submit to the City of Santa Monica. Your opinion is valuable and will help the City decide how the 192 acres of airport land should be used to support current and future generations for all Santa Monicans, focused on a Great Park consistent with Measure LC.
