Join the Los Angeles Conservancy for a virtual exploration of the iconic murals, mosaics, and architecture of Millard Sheets.

Born in 1907 in Pomona, Millard Sheets was a highly influential artist, designer, and educator who made an indelible impression on the Southern California landscape. His unique, mosaic-covered buildings for Home Savings (later Washington Mutual, now Chase) can be found throughout Southern California. Sheets created buildings that connected with the public on an emotional level, often using artwork to depict local or historical themes significant to the community.
